The Bird Island is a small, picturesque island located in the middle of the Catoche lagoon, which we will visit during our boat tour of the Sian Ka'an biosphere. In fact, over 350 species of birds have been recorded in the entire Sian Ka'an reserve, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. After visiting the Bird Island, we will travel to a part of the Sian Ka'an reserve that is open to the sea, where we will have the chance to observe turtles coming to the surface to take in a breath of air. Like dolphins, it is relatively uncommon to not see turtles during a boat tour of the biosphere, and our experienced guides will do their best to locate and observe these amazing animals. After observing the turtles, we will make our way to a beautiful coral reef where we will have the opportunity to snorkel and explore the underwater world. We'll spend about 20 minutes in the water, giving you plenty of time to observe the colorful array of fish that call the reef home. After snorkeling, we will make our way to the natural pools of Punta Allen where you can relax and unwind in the warm, crystal clear water. You'll have the chance to soak in the warm water and let all of your worries and cares melt away, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

After a day of exploration and adventure, we will conclude our tour by visiting the small fishing village of Punta Allen where you'll have the chance to enjoy a delicious meal (drinks included). The meal will be served at a local restaurant, and there will be options available for vegans and vegetarians upon request. After the meal, you'll have some free time to explore the village and discover its unique character and charm. Punta Allen is an authentic, off-the-beaten-path village that is cut off from the rest of the world, and it's a great place to get a sense of the local culture and way of life.
